Pip
Speech Pathologist
Pip is an experienced Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting adults with disabilities, including people with developmental disabilities, neurological conditions, and acquired brain injuries. She has a particular interest in working with individuals where communication and everyday functioning intersect.
Pip values building strong relationships with clients, families, support teams, workplaces, and other allied health professionals to create practical strategies that focus on helping individuals communicate more effectively, participate more fully in daily activities, and feel safer and more comfortable during eating and drinking.
Skills and Areas of Interest
Assessment and support for individuals who may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Low and high-tech AAC systems, including eye gaze technology
Communication partner training and education for families and support teams
Adult dysphagia (swallowing) assessment and management
Mealtime management training for support workers and care teams
Personal Note
Outside of work, Pip enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband and dog, practising yoga, dancing, and exploring her creative side.
