Occupational Therapist

Lauren is a New Zealand-trained Occupational Therapist who graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2020. She later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Rehabilitation in 2024, further developing her knowledge and skills in rehabilitation practice.

Expertise

Lauren has specialised training in elbow-to-fingertip rehabilitation, including splinting for both function and healing. She has experience assessing and enabling fine motor skills, supporting hand function and independence across a range of clients. Her experience includes working with older adults with hand arthritis and adults with disabilities, collaborating with clients, families and wider teams to achieve meaningful goals.

Approach

Lauren takes a hands-on, collaborative and client-centred approach to therapy, with a focus on understanding each client’s individual needs. She works alongside clients to set meaningful goals and achieve practical outcomes that support participation, independence and quality of life.

Outside of work, Lauren is an animal lover and enjoys listening to music.
